IT'S THE YEAR 2011!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!! XD

This Saturday was the 1st BB week of this year!! AWESOME!! It's a whole new year with whole new resolutions and whole new programs and whole new drill and whole new.. err... whole new.. well.. EVERYTHING!! XD

We are back to full uniform and drill. haiz.. still wish can wear mufti and NOT drill. =(

During parade, not sure whether anyone realize or not, I made a MISTAKE! OMG! D= what mistake? not telling HERE. Find me personally. haha ;)

Praise & Worship was just a LITTLE bit special with TWO song leaders. And we must "bu yao you lu" because it's the new year. o.O

English bible class all combined and taught by Uncle Butt Wah, 'coz Uncle Mike finished his erm.. "syllabus". We learned about FASHION!! LOL

Anyway, no badge class, just a small briefing about this year's badge & drill class.

It's a new drill with new teams. A1: Josiah, Kai Xian & Marcus is in. A2: Avril, Darren, and I'm nt so sure, Floyd. Eugene & Lay yee in B1. But actually I'm not sure at all about this. Best if check notice board for the namelist. That is, if Anita posted it. ;)

For drill I also made a MISTAKE! OMG! D= what mistake? not telling HERE. Find me personally. again. haha ;)

And THAT concludes our 1st BB of 2011!! Three cheers! HIP HIP HIP HOORAY!!

Announcements:

a) Annual fees of RM12 pls pass to Floyd.

b) 15th Jan Josiah & Floyd will be leading squad activity.

c) 15th Jan there's a Christian Education Badge Exam on the Gospel of Luke. 60 Objective. 1 hour. Ain't gonna be easy. So says my dad.

d) Pls think of your new year resolution. AT LEAST 3. 1 about BB, 1 about Studies(School), & 1 about Spiritual. You also need to think about WHY & HOW u want to achieve it.

LCMS Public Speaking Workshop 2010

It was a night, My parents and I are on our way to a restaurant for dinner. Then my pastor called, asking whether I wanted to go to the workshop that "Pastor Calvin personally came to promote". So I went. Well having been to BNTS where I was taught presentation skills, so I thought that could be an advantage for me. As everyone thought this 3days 2 night workshop is going to be "fun" and filled with "games". Well, Its the OPPOSITE.

Me being the youngest in the workshop, is really a disadvantage for me as I have no experience in the outside world yet. The only one from my church, I felt scared as I might be very lonely.

So, the Public Speaking Workshop has special assignments, with growing difficulty. Starting from a 2 minute speech, to a 5 minute speech, and so on. You are not allowed to bring a paper for reference, but you can use visual aids like the white board provided. And on top of that, if the judges are not satisfied, you have to redo, redo, redo until they are completely satisfied. For me, I have passed the first 3 assignments, well I BARELY passed. For the 4th one, it was frustrating for me because, I kept redo-ing till I got so pressured that I quietly went to the toilet, and I started to cry.

It was the very 1st time that I cried over pressure. Even with my so-called "happy go lucky" personality, I still cried. So I eventually gave up, called my parents, and went home. It was very nerve wrecking as I somehow kept thinking that I could have just continued and I might pass. My excuse? Too much pressure.

I might not be as experienced like the others, I might not be as good as the others, but, I'm still young, I could continue learning. This workshop was a whole new experience for me as it changed my perspective towards public speaking. For me,even though I didn't get to finish the whole course, I feel I have changed. To my fellow friends, I urge you, even though this workshop could actually make you breakdown, but it will really improve your skills as a public speaker.

Pengkalan Hulu.

OMG. How long didn't post? Well, I'm gonna post about this AMAZING trip.
Its a very meaningful trip
MISSION TRIP 2010
And the good thing is, EVERYONE FROM SQUAD 3 WENT!! except for Lay Yee and Eugene, but you know xP
So, its a 3 days 2 nights trip, but the 1st day and the last day are spent in a van/car.
I'm gonna talk about the 2nd day :D
The 2nd day, we helped out at 1st Pengkalan Hulu!!
1ST PENGKALAN HULU!!
I(Darren) wasn't there for the opening of the company, and I forgot how long they have been operating, but they already have around FORTY ACTIVE MEMBERS!!
But they didn't split into Senior or Junior Section... YET.
So their daily routines are...
Parade, into THREE BIG LINES.
After that, they straight went for DRILL.
And WE from 1st Kajang, helped to IMPROVE their drill xP
And some of us even get the opportunity to teach them PERSONALLY.
After this, I bet they have learned ALOT OF STUFFS XDD
After Drill, we went inside, and had Praise and Worship.
Well, even though the songs are in Bahasa Indonesia, but we happily just followed along :D
then we had Pastor's Message, well, before the message, we had a small game, so the game is like this
we were paired, then we had to touch your partner's finger with only ONE finger, at the VERY TIP. So one person, "Jesus", to guide a "blind person", around one big circle, most of us succeed in doing it.
So as you all might already guessed it, the Message is about Jesus guiding us through tough times, when we are BLIND.
So, whenever you are "BLIND", find Jesus!! He'll show you the way :D
After that, was games...
organized by...
US!! :D
well the games are well known in 1st Kajang, not so well known in Pengkalan Hulu :D
so the 1st game called, Keluarga Bahagia(Happy Family :D) led by our very own JOSIAH NG :D and Daniel too :D.
and the 2nd game, led by, Yin Yee, our very own FLOYD LEE :D!! and ME!! was the CHICKEN GAME.
After these games, we had dismiss and photo taking sessions :D
after that, we had lunch and we went and taught the SENIORS of the COMPANY.
Well, the very reason why we came was to teach their SENIORS.
So their so called SENIORS are just members who have been there for a long time.
And they are like the NCOs of the company :D
so the 7 of them, were taught by us :D
the important badges and the badges that can be learned by them :d
like Target, Hobbies, Physical Training, and so much more :D
so after all these, even though we are the ones who taught them, I feel we have learned ALOT ourselves, and the good thing is, we are all 15 y/o and below!!
and after all these, SGT ANSON TREAT US WITH DRINKS!!! Well, they are kinda cheap...
So, I'll conclude this post by saying,"for those who haven't joined, please come and experience the wonderful things we have learned in this trip"

I very happy that i can post this post coz i have long time i nvr post comment.

at tat day i am the nco in charge and that was my 1st time be the nco in charge in bb..

it is a fun experience. and i did a lot of mistake la..

bt i will learn frm it and wont did again..

We use BM to talk during sq activity..

We share about wht we do after major exam and we have a good fellowship together..

It's the 4th week of October!!! Our dear friend & member Avril Lim is studying 4 her final examination!! We all wish her good luck! =)

Soo... we did NOT have full attendance. again. =( Josiah went out with friends & Avril is studying.

We had Praise & Worship led by our very own squad leader Marcus =p with also our very own Kai Xian as back up! Hurray!

After that, we had our DREADED EC BADGE EXAM!!! all die =x but for Avril & Josiah, the questions are..... [SULIT]

Next, we had a fun inter-squad activity about err... well.... a fun game. sry, I don't know how to explain the game. But is a game from BNTS.

Then, the whole senior combine together for drill. We learned how to march the "real march" XD

Finally, we ended with dismiss.

Announcements: There will be PT & Capt. Ball nxt Saturday at 3.30-6pm. Wear Mufti sport wear withou cap & name tag.

It's the 2nd & final week of PMR(leave)!! hurray! finally our sq can be back together again! sadly, our attendance was only half the usual full coz of PMR =(
SOO... we had our usual parade, usual Praise & Worship lead by Cpl Nicholas, nt so usual Bible class becuase uncle Mike also took "leave". So, we join uncle Butt Wah's class. we learned about making good and bad choices, just like Joseph in the book of Exodus.
After that, we had sq activity. There was no badge class. We combined with sq 4 & 5 to play poker cards XD
Next, we had our GoH (march past) practice. This was for the most auspicious event of the year, Founders Day!!
Finally, we ended with dismiss.
